RNASET2 and cancer: Beside this, in light of the growing attention for anticancer immunotherapy approaches (78), RNASET2-mediated regulation of the immune system might suggest an innovative approach in clinical oncology, based on the use of recombinant RNASET2 protein as a wide-range, pleiotropically acting antitumor drug, acting to fight cancer cells at both cell-autonomous, and non cell-autonomous levels.
