The fatal outcome of BCG disseminated infection has also been reported in other PID less prone to BCG infection, such as chronic granulomatous diseases (CGD), hyper-IgE syndrome (HIES), X-linked hyper IGM syndrome (HIGM), nuclear factor (NF)-κB essential modifier (Nemo), and GATA2 deficiency [15, 18, 21, 22, 27–29]. The gene discussed is IKBKG; the disease is chronic granulomatous disease.
