Asymptomatic infection with all tested flaviviruses showed similar increased levels of IL-12, IL-17, IL-5, IL-10, CXCL9, E-Selectin and ST2/IL-1R4; and decreased levels of IL-13 and CD40 when compared to the NI control group, suggesting that these markers may represent a common signature for DENV, WNV and ZIKV infections (Fig. 1, Supplementary Fig. S1). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL9 and Zika virus infectious disease.
