Interestingly, the frequencies of pooled myelin-specific CD20+ CD8+ T cells was significantly higher in MS patients (10.1 ± 2.7%) compared to control subjects (3.3 ± 1.1%), whereas there were no differences in influenza-specific CD20+ CD8+ T cells (5.0 ± 0.7% and 4.9 ± 1.2%, respectively) (Fig. 3A). The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is influenza.
