CD8A and myeloid sarcoma: In comparing MS patients to control subjects, there was a significant reduction in naive (28.1 ± 2.8% vs. 36.7 ± 3.4%, respectively) and a corresponding increase in effector memory (41.2 ± 3.5% vs. 26.6 ± 2.4%, respectively) fractions in total CD8+ T cells (i.e., irrespective of antigen specificity) in MS patients compared to control subjects (SI Appendix, Fig. S4B), consistent with prior reports (40, 41).
