Considering TIM-3 as a promising candidate for ICB, we analyzed the methylation status at single CpG site resolution as well as the corresponding mRNA levels of TIM-3 and its ligand LGALS9 in N = 470 melanoma patients provided by The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) [29], and analyzed TIM-3/LGALS9 methylation levels in isolated immune cells, melanocyte and melanoma cell lines. This evidence concerns the gene LGALS9 and melanoma.
