Previous studies have demonstrated that miR-377 served as tumor suppressor to regulate the progression of lung cancer, cervical cancer, glioma, gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma cells and clear cell renal cell carcinoma by targeting CD133, VEGF, Bcl-xL and ETS-1 [23–26].
