IL2 and neoplasm: IL‐2, a pleiotropic cytokine, plays a critical role in the growth, proliferation and differentiation of T cells, which has also been verified to support the tumour cell growth of adult T cell leukaemia in vitro.22 Once binding to the receptors, IL‐2 activates multiple signalling pathways and thus plays its role effectively.5, 6 Our microarray analysis showed that TPD7 attenuated IL‐2Rβ and IL‐2Rγ genes in H9 cells and inhibited downstream pathway of IL‐2R including the major molecules of JAK/STAT, PI3K/AKT and MAPK pathway (Figure 3).
