BRF1 and melanoma: Increases in specific tRNAs such as the initiator methionine tRNAiMet are sufficient to promote migration and invasive behaviour in melanoma cells [24] and for fibroblasts to secrete collagen, which in turn enhanced tumour growth and angiogenesis [25], suggesting that BRF1 may play a major role in orchestrating altered programs of tRNA and thus protein synthesis.
