Guo et al. reported on the roles of the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway in renal cell carcinoma (RCC), and pointed out that the genes in the PI3K-Akt pathway are frequently mutation genes in KIRC [26], which indicates that the PI3K-Akt pathway may provide information that is helpful to the treatment of KIRC. Here, AKT1 is linked to renal cell carcinoma.
