Cl-Amidine, a PAD4 inhibitor, had no effect on the level of neutrophil-DNA complexes or the degree of lung inflammation in a murine pneumonia model (135) but Biron et al. found that Cl-Amidine prevented H3 citrullination, NET formation, and improved survival in a murine model of CLP-induced polymicrobial sepsis (180). The gene discussed is PADI4; the disease is pneumonia.
