Comparing the genotype and allele frequencies of the ZFAS1 rs6125607 polymorphism among RA patients and normal controls, we found that TT genotype and T allele frequencies were significantly higher in RA patients than normal controls (TT vs. CC: P = 0.007; T vs. C: P = 0.040, respectively), and an increased risk of rs6125607 polymorphism existed in recessive model (TT vs. CC+TC: P = 0.005). The gene discussed is ZFAS1; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
