In contrast, keratinocytes in inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis (Boehncke et al. 1994; Choi et al. 2012) and atopic dermatitis (AD) (Niiyama et al. 2016) were found to contain significantly higher levels of HSPB1 than keratinocytes of healthy skin. This evidence concerns the gene HSPB1 and psoriasis.
