C1QTNF1 and coronary atherosclerosis: The C1q/TNF-related protein 1 (CTRP1) is expressed at high levels in adipose tissue by proinflammatory cytokines, and increased levels of CTRP1 are associated with the extent of coronary atherosclerosis [37] and reduced collateral formation in patients with chronic coronary total occlusion (CTO) [38, 39].
