Although the loss of BAF250a was not associated with clinical or epidemiologic characteristics and there was no relationship between the loss of BAF250a and stage, grade, survival, or epidemiological variables, the loss of ARID1A function as shown by loss of protein expression has been reported as an early molecular event in the development of most ovarian clear cell and endometrioid carcinomas arising in endometriomas [17,19]. This evidence concerns the gene ARID1A and endometrioid adenocarcinoma.
