NLRP3 and Parkinson disease: The evidence that inflammasome plays a key role in pathophysiological process of PD highlights the potential of repressing inflammasome as a PD therapy.51 It has been proved that suppressing inflammasome activation with a treatment of NLRP3 inhibitor could effectively mitigate motor deficits, nigrostriatal dopaminergic degeneration, and α‐synuclein aggregation in PD model.50, 52 Inflammasome suppression may represent a thorough therapy that deals with the pathophysiology of PD.
