We found significantly increased ZnT1 mRNA levels (p < 0.005, ANOVA) in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), and thymoma (THYM) (Fig. 2a), as well as significantly decreased ZnT1 expression levels in Kidney Chromophobe-type (KICH) renal cell cancer (Fig. S4). This evidence concerns the gene SLC30A1 and carcinoma of esophagus.
