In the present article, we report that Akt overexpression and diuron exposure promote the glioma formation from neural progenitor cells via the induction of DNA hypomethylation mediated by two distinct pathways: the loss of DNMT1/PCNA/UHRF1 interactions and the APOBEC3γ overexpression. The gene discussed is APOBEC3G; the disease is glioma.
