CCL5 and infection: Based on the differential expression of chemokines shown in Table 2 and their biological activities [28], it could be concluded that ASFV infection significantly induced expression of monocyte, T and NK cell-recruiting chemokines including CCL3, CCL4, CCL5, CXCL10 and CXCL16 but suppressed expression of neutrophil and CD8+ effector T cell chemotactic chemokines such as CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCL3, and CXCL14 after 3 hours infection.
