In multivariable logistic regression models controlling for age, sex, ethnicity, CRP, and HbA1c, triglycerides (mg/dL) (OR: 1.00, 95% CI: 0.99–1.00; P = 0.2694), low density lipoprotein (mg/dL) (OR: 1.00, 95% CI: 0.99–1.01; P = 0.8624), total cholesterol (mg/dL) (OR: 1.00, 95% CI: 0.99–1.00; P = 0.4212), and homeostatic model for insulin resistance (OR: 0.98, 95% CI: 0.94–1.03; P = 0.4364) were not found to be significant predictors of having ≥1 visual subfield defect at the 5% level. Here, CRP is linked to Insulin resistance.
