Many early studies have considered that (Elkind, Tai, Coates, Paik, & Sacco, 2006; Lp‐PLA(2) Studies Collaboration et al., 2010; Oei et al., 2005) Lp‐PLA2 can hydrolyze platelet‐activating factors, inhibit thrombosis and alleviate inflammation, and work against atherosclerosis. Here, PLA2G7 is linked to atherosclerosis.
