Yildirim et al [17] prospectively investigated the correlation between PTX3 and GDM, and the results showed that the levels of PTX3 were significantly higher than normal pregnant women, and the PTX3 was positively correlated with the 50 g challenge test, so it’s considered that the maternal serum PTX3 level is associated with hyperglycemia, which may be the vascular pathological indicator of GDM during the OGTT period. This evidence concerns the gene PTX3 and gestational diabetes.
