Fasting glucose levels in the HF groups were higher (P < 0.05) than those in the STD group after 14 weeks of intervention (Fig. 2D,G), except in the group supplemented with both d-fagomine and ω-3 PUFAs; while plasma insulin was significantly elevated in the HF group compared to the STD group already at week 9 (Fig. 2B) and remained so up to the end of the study (Fig. 2H). The gene discussed is INS; the disease is hydrops fetalis.
