Mechanistically, circ-HuR directly interacted with CCHC-type zinc finger nucleic acid binding protein (CNBP), and acted as an inhibitor to restrain the binding of CNBP to HuR promoter, resulting in repression of HuR expression and tumor progression, which indicates the essential roles of circ-HuR and CNBP in gastric cancer progression. The gene discussed is ELAVL1; the disease is gastric cancer.
