Among the two groups of lesions, the presence of peripheral/spinal neurofibromas is associated to higher internalizing problems; despite the two groups of tumor did not differ significantly in accordance to this variable, we found a higher frequency of children with additional peripheral and/or spinal tumor among NF1 + OPG group (39.1% vs. 26.3%), that may partially explain the higher level of behavioral problems in this group. Here, NF1 is linked to Spinal neurofibroma.
