Previous studies have confirmed the significant upregulation of cyclophilin B (CypB) in fibrotic tissues compared to normal tissues in a CCl4-induced liver fibrosis model and Cyclophilin A (CypA) in oral submucous fibrosis, in addition to an increased secretion of CypA in experimental biliary atresia [16,17,18].
