CRP and rheumatoid arthritis: The 28 patients included in this study had an average age of 47.5 ± 12.69 years (range, 19–66 years) and 75% were women (Table 1). For markers of RA, 35.7% of patients had erythrocyte sedimentation rate levels > 20 mm3/h, 42.8% exhibited anticitrullinated peptide antibody levels > 20 EU, 60.7% had CRP levels ≥3 mg/L, and 67.86% of patients had a positive RF test.
