By immunohistochemical analyses from melanoma patients (n = 20) and the mined data from the public databases, we demonstrated that ERβ expression was decreased in melanoma, and low expression of ERβ in melanoma patients in all melanoma subtypes correlate with a poor relapse-free survival, whereas no correlations were observed between survival rates and the expression of ERα or GPER in melanoma. Here, ESR2 is linked to melanoma.
