CSF3 and neoplasm: Interestingly, exposure of neutrophils to regulatory factors like granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) and TGF-β can transform them into pro-tumor (N2) phenotype, while the presence of interferon-β (IFNβ) or the suppression of TGF-β induces TANs to express an antitumor (N1) phenotype.
