The oncogenic fusion protein of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) with nucleophosmin 1 (NPM1) in anaplastic large cell lymphoma leads to the activation of multiple intracellular signal transduction pathways including PI3K–AKT, MAPK/ERK, mTOR, STAT3, and STAT5B [167,168]. This evidence concerns the gene STAT5B and anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
