CDK9 and breast carcinoma: In addition to its association with MG development, this miRNA also targets genes involved in breast cancer development, including Igf-1 and Igf-1R coding for insulin-like growth factor 1 and its receptor (reviewed in [46] and [47]), as well as Cdk9 coding for cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (CDK9), involved in cell survival and the regulation of apoptosis.
