In this study, we provided evidence that (i) BoHV-1 infection (after 24 hpi) significantly reduced the expression of HO-1 and NQO-1 (Figure 1), the known downstream proteins regulated by Nrf2 signaling, (ii) virus infection significantly reduced accumulation of Nrf2 in the nucleus (Figure 5), (iii) virus infection induced the deacetylation of nucleus Nrf2 (Figure 6), and (iv) virus infection led to relocalization of nuclear Nrf2 and forming a dot-like structure (Figure 4). The gene discussed is NQO1; the disease is viral infectious disease.
