Yoga has been variously shown to reduce fasting glucose and glycated haemoglobin, insulin, total and LDL cholesterol, triglyceride and weight, even in those without diabetes,52 although not all studies have shown a consistent benefit across these risk factors.7 53 54 We found no evidence of yoga-related benefits in blood lipids, glucose or obesity measures.
