Adachi et al. (2018) reported that expression of interleukin-7 (IL-7) and C–C motif chemokine ligand 9 (CCL19) on CAR-T cells significantly promoted immune cell infiltration and CAR-T cell survival in the tumor. In addition, RUNX3, a key transcription factor, can promote T-cell residency in non-lymphoid tissues, which enhanced the therapeutic effect of adoptive cell therapy targeting cancer (Milner et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene CCL19 and neoplasm.
