To support a potential role of PD-1 and PD-L1/ PD-L2 axis as targets in ovarian cancer, it has been reported in syngeneic orthotopic mouse model of epithelial ovarian cancer, that treatment with anti-PD-1 or anti-PD-L1 antibodies resulted in tumor rejection in 75% of the treated-mice, while mice treated with anti-PD-L2 antibody did not reject tumors (25). This evidence concerns the gene PDCD1LG2 and ovarian cancer.
