In a clinical cohort study, the expression of BATF2 in peripheral blood of patients with ATB in HIV-negative populations was much higher than that in patients with latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) and healthy controls (HC), furthermore, BATF2 in peripheral blood can be used as a novel biomarker for the diagnosis of TB with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.93–0.99 (22). Here, BATF2 is linked to tuberculosis.
