Rb1 can benefit myocardial ischemia (Guan et al., 2002; Wang et al., 2008; Wu et al., 2011; Xia et al., 2011; Kong et al., 2015; Yan et al., 2015; Li et al., 2016; Yan et al., 2016; Cui et al., 2017; Zheng et al., 2017a), atherosclerosis/vascular dysfunctions (Qiao et al., 2017; Zhou et al., 2017; Zhang et al., 2018), or other related diseases (Jiang et al., 2007; Kong et al., 2010; Li et al., 2011; Li et al., 2012; Zhang et al., 2015; Zheng et al., 2017b), suggesting the potential safety of Rb1 in cardiovascular functions, despite its action on β3AR. The gene discussed is RB1; the disease is myocardial ischemia.
