The immunohistologically assessed proliferation activity (Ki-67) showed a moderate reduction in proliferation for tumors of patients 1, 2, 6, 7 and 9 and similar proliferation for tumors of patients 3 to 5, when comparing the untreated tissue slices with a representative 1 mm2 area of the original tumor (see Fig. 3).
