We have reported previously that Hnrnpf overexpression in RPTCs attenuates hypertension and kidney injury in both diabetic Akita13 and db/db14 mice via inhibition of intrarenal Agt expression, implying an important role for Hnrnpf in modulating the development of hypertension and nephropathy in diabetic mice. The gene discussed is AGT; the disease is hypertensive disorder.
