Translation and synthesis of NRF2, as well as of other known YB‐1 targets, G3BP1 and HIF1α, were blocked by MS‐275 in sarcoma cells, due to enhanced acetylation of lysine 81 within the YB‐1 RNA‐binding domain and consequent loss of YB‐1 translational activation of these stress factors. This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and sarcoma.
