Mean concentrations of resistin [13.41 ng/mL; (range 5.11–37.75) vs 8.54 ng/mL (range 3.54–16.39); P = 0.0012], endothelin-1 [1.99 pg/mL; (range 0.51–6.03) vs 1.31 pg/mL (range 0.40–2.34); P = 0.0072] and fractalkine [2.93 ng/mL; (range 0.69–6.99) vs 1.68 ng/mL (range 0.37–3.91); P = 0.0007] were significantly higher in sera of total SSc patients than in the healthy control. Here, CX3CL1 is linked to systemic sclerosis.
