In the present study, we revealed, for the first time, evidence of the clinical significance of cytoplasmic UCHL5 expression in ovarian cancer, and demonstrated that bAP15 significantly suppressed UCHL5 in TP53-mutant ovarian cancer cell lines in a dose-dependent manner through downregulation of the TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway (Figure 7). The gene discussed is TGFB1; the disease is ovarian cancer.
