MAPT and Alzheimer disease: These observations, along with the lack of correlation between [18F]-AV-1541 autoradiographic regional binding at postmortem and the topographical distribution of tau aggregates or multiple other tau measures in these cases of CTE, suggest that [18F]-AV-1451 may not have sufficient sensitivity to reliable detect and quantify tau pathology in CTE by in vivo neuroimaging particularly when confounding AD lesions are present in the context of aging.
