An intrathecal Th1 shift has been proposed in CIDP, based on elevated levels of Th1‐related cytokines including IL‐12 and CXCL10/IP10 together with increased IFN‐γ+IL‐4−CD4+ T (Th1) cell percentages in CSF cells,20 although no reports have described CIDP subtype‐specific CSF cytokine profiles. The gene discussed is CXCL10; the disease is chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy.
