Human TSC2 protein comprises of 1807 residues, and acts as a tumour suppressor in complex with TSC1. Three regions, N terminal TSC1 interacting region (residues 55 to 469), tuberin type domain (residues 555 to 903) and GTPase activator (GAP) domain (residues 1562 to 1748) are distinct on the basis of sequence similarity search with protein domain families.
