Trans-activating response (TAR) element DNA-binding protein of 43 kDa (TDP43) regulates RNA processing and is found to be aggregated in many neurodegenerative diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), and limbic-predominant age-related TDP43 encephalopathy (LATE)1–4.
