ACTB and idiopathic scoliosis: Although Waller, T. et al showed that an artificial neural network based on the expression levels of ACTB and GAPDH in different tissues of scoliotic patients might be used to differentiate familial from sporadic cases of idiopathic scoliosis [10], additional tools may still be needed for progressed and non-progressed AIS classification as well as disclosing the etiopathology of AIS.
