In some prostate cancer cell lines, environmental factors can change the expression level of FuTAG SLC45A3-ELK4, located on chromosome 1q32 and composed by the first exon of SLC45A3 and the last four of ELK4 (Type II ISP or Co-TIFE); despite this, the ELK4 is translated as a wild type protein (Table 1).
