[6,7,11–21] ERβ has been reported to adversely affect the prognosis of lung cancer patients.[6,12–14,16,17,21] However, there are several studies with conflicting results about the effect of ERβ on survival of lung cancer.[18–20] Based on the discordant results, we conducted this meta-analysis in order to evaluate the prognostic impact of ERβ expression and location on survival among NSCLC patients. The gene discussed is ESR2; the disease is lung carcinoma.
