The down-regulation of miR-129-5p can promote ZIC2 expression via activating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, and further enhanced the expression of Wnt, β-catenin, N-cadherin and vimentin and inhibited the expression of E-cadherin, thus resulting in cancer cell proliferation, invasion, migration along with EMT and angiogenesis and reduced apoptosis. This evidence concerns the gene CDH2 and cancer.
