For instance, DNA components from tumor MPs rather than parental tumor cells can activate the cGAS-STING pathway.14 In this study, we further found that lung cancer MPs contain noncoding RNAs that can activate TLR3; however, noncoding RNAs from parental tumor cells or normal cells do not have this ability, indicating that the spectrum of RNAs was altered during MP formation. This evidence concerns the gene CGAS and lung carcinoma.
