For instance, DNA components from tumor MPs rather than parental tumor cells can activate the cGAS-STING pathway.14 In this study, we further found that lung cancer MPs contain noncoding RNAs that can activate TLR3; however, noncoding RNAs from parental tumor cells or normal cells do not have this ability, indicating that the spectrum of RNAs was altered during MP formation. The gene discussed is STING1; the disease is lung cancer.
